A great idea, an interesting view on how the government system will evolve. It is well known, non of the systems that had existed are perfect, not even democracy. The movie takes you into the future,after a third World War, where a new regime has been established to prevent further wars and crimes. Responsible for all the atrocities, are the human feelings, so everybody takes a new drug that make emotion disappear. The Grammaton Clerics are specially trained men that have the job to find and destroy any piece of art that they find so they could eliminate any temptation to feel again. The Resistance are a group of rebels that take care of the last remaining art and refuse to comply with the new rules.
John Preston is one of the highest Cleric. He is the best at what he does and a strong believer in all the virtues of the new society. Everything changes when John stops taking his medication and slowly gains his humanity. He becomes more aware that people are enslaved instead of free, everybody following a routine without having any happiness in their life. So his main objective becomes to break down the system and everything he believed in.
I loved this movie. The action scenes are spectacular and the plot is great. Hope you will enjoy it.
