I admit… I didn’t know what to expect. I went to see this movie without knowing anything about it and to be honest, I do not recommended to adults, I for one, got really bored. If I was 10 probably 15 years younger, I would have been swept away and I would have learned something too.
Larry Daley was a guard at the museum and he quit his job to become a successful business
man. He constantly visited his former work place to see his old friends. Inside the museum there is an ancient, magical stone, that after sunset, gives life to all exponents. In his visit he finds out from Teddy Roosevelt and his other buddies from the museum that they are going to be taken to federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. Larry decides, it is his job to rescue and bring everybody back. The next night he takes off to Washington and manages to get into the museum but things are complicated as an evil Pharaoh, Kahmunrah teams up with Al Capone, Napoleon and Ivan the Terrible to make trouble. Larry meets Emilia Braveheart which will help him rescue everybody from the evildoers.
I guess the goal of the film was, to create an interest for the characters so kids would want to learn history. For me, as an adult, I can say it made me curious to see how Abraham Lincoln would be or Napoleon would react, but it was to little to satisfy me.
