Great cast, even better movie… The movie won 4 Academy Awards one was for best director Martin Scorsese who had lots of great movies but never won an Oscar until now.
The departed is one of the best movies I saw.
Somewhere in Boston there is this bad guy that the police is chasing for years and they can’t get him. Frank Costelo is running Boston and he is a well known, influential and feared man so he has been untouchable for many years until now… William Costigan came from a criminal family and trays to change the family’s reputation by becoming a cop. The police sees a big asset in him so they make him an undercover agent and infiltrates him in Costelos mob. On the other hand Frank has his own guy in the police Colin Sullivan, a very smart kid that does a great job being a mole in the special investigation unit.
Jack Nicholson did a great job playing Frank Costelo and he had several memorable lines, one of them is even in the trailer below:
When I was your age they would say we can become cops or criminals, what I’m saying is this… when you’re facing a loaded gun what’s the difference…
