Writer and producer of several controversial documentaries, he is the man of the people. The defender of the U.S. nation against corrupted politicians and big corporate companies that are greedy.  He has produced three shocking documentaries and my favourite is “Fahrenheit 911″ but I am going to take it step by step and start talking about “Bowling for Columbine”(2002).

This was the break through for Michael Moore and he did a great movie that had as primary subject the gun control in America. Basically, after the Columbine High Schooll massacre, when two of the students open fire on their peers and classmates, for the first time people start questioning them self ;why are so many hand gun killings across the country?… Of Course a big number of motifs started pourig like, the rock music, the bloody history that America had, the poverty, the broken homes, violent movies and so on. This arguments don’t stand because other countries have the same characteristic, if I can say so…, and still they have low numbers in handgun killings. A very good example in the movie is Germany. The Germans are fans of the rock/punk music, they have a black bloody history; about 12 millions people died executed or in horrible conditions in Nazis Labour camps and even so gun related violence is low.

Moore trys to find the answer why the American use excessively their weapons and I don’t know if his arguments are the truth but certainly there are far better than all that violent movies, music and history  facts that people are exposed to.

I watched this movie several times and I am in a way disgusted and outraged. From my point of view guns should be forbidden or at least make it hard to get.
